Looking for a short-term volunteer opportunity? ARF offers four hour community service days 1 – 2- times per month. Community service groups will work on a variety of projects that benefit ARF and the community.
Projects may include:
- Creating enrichment items for animals
- Animal care and cleaning tasks
- Making dog or cat treats
- Landscaping at ARF’s community center
A staff member and ARF volunteers will be present to provide instruction and supervise work teams. Older students are encouraged to help younger students complete their projects. As a thank you for your hard work, ARF therapy animals will be on site to supervise, test out your projects and offer a furry high five for a job well done. There will be no interaction with ARF shelter animals.
Registration and Requirements Advance registration is required. Community service is $30/session. Sessions fill up quickly, so register early!
Students must be in or entering grades 6 – 12. Students of all skill levels and abilities are welcome.
