There are many ways for your company to enhance its community visibility
and brand positioning by affiliating with the positive ARF image.
Sponsor an ARF Event
Each year ARF hosts a number of very popular events. Companies can choose among
various levels of corporate participation. Past events have included:
- Stars to
the Rescue
ARF's annual gala, this variety show features top-name musical and comedic
talents.
- Animals
on Broadway
Pet friendly community event featuring vendor booths, dog wash, demonstrations,
live music, Paws on Parade dog walk and Pet Look-Alike Contest.
- Celebrities
FORE! ARF
Participants enjoy a day on the links with entertainment and superstar
athletes, musicians and actors at a premier Bay Area course.
Host Your Own Benefit Event
No one knows the corporate culture better than its employees. Planning a
benefit event allows a company the freedom to reflect that culture
and directly support ARF's programs for at-risk youth, the elderly and
ill, along with other members of the community.
Promote ARF in Company E-mails, Newsletters and Bulletins
Spreading the word about ARF's good work can be as easy as a mention in your corporate publications. Many companies like Safeway, Men’s Wearhouse and Chevron use employee newsletters to highlight ARF's work, upcoming events and unique programs, including Camp ARF, Pet Hug Pack, and ARF Teen Training.
Encourage Employee Involvement
The community service of employees enriches not only staff but
also appeals to discerning customers. AT&T, PMI and Macys make it
easy for employees to become involved in the community. These companies
conduct United Way Employee Giving Campaigns, which are held on-site and
give employees a chance to discover first-hand about ARF volunteer and
donation opportunities. ARF can assist companies in setting up a
charitable campaign.
Co-Branding
ARF's sponsors have enjoyed great success by placing ARF's friendly
and recognizable logo on their products.
Safeway SELECT placed ARF's logo on NutraBalance Pet Food bags and increased
sales for the year over 70 percent. Safeway Inc. also teamed up with ARF to produce
a limited edition cereal box of Safeway SELECT Toasted Oats featuring
Mark McGwire. Safeway donated more than 15 percent of the proceeds from sales
of this collectors' item.
ChevronTexaco and Pepsi underwrote the design and production of an ARF
cup sold from Chevron's convenience stores. A fixed percentage of sales
benefited ARF's programs.
