Holiday Pet Food Drive
November 25 - December 30, 2011

The economic downturn has left more families struggling financially. Some pet guardians may feel the need to surrender or abandon their cat or dog. ARF is collecting pet food for Contra Costa families in need. Last year ARF was able to collect enough pet food to feed more than 600 cats and dogs. This year, with your help we hope to feed even more.

Please donate unexpired and unopened cat or dog food, wet or dry.

Donations may be dropped off at the following locations:

Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation 2890 Mitchell Drive (at Oak Grove) Walnut Creek, CA 94598 Donation drop-off hours: Monday – Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday – Sunday Noon - 5 p.m.

To host your own pet food drive:

• Contact ARF’s Holiday FoodShare program at holidayfoodshare@arf.net or 925.977.7900 extension 473 to inform us of your intent.
• Determine your goal. You may want to track the pounds of food collected to show your progress.
• Download a Holiday Food Pet Food flyer to use on the side of your collection box or to promote your drive.
• You may choose to drop off food frequently or at the end of your drive. We are happy to meet you during collection hours at the ARF facility to say THANK YOU.
• Celebrate your success! Photos of you or your representative dropping off donations at ARF will allow everyone to share in the achievement. Give us a call and we will be ready for the photo op!
