ARF currently has the following job openings. Please see the descriptions for details.
As ARF moves forward to meet the increasing needs of animals and people in the community by continually creating innovative programs and services, employment opportunities within the organization also expand. Please review the information below to discover the benefits of working with ARF.
Hiring Process
The hiring supervisor will review all resumes/applications to identify those candidates who best reflect the requirements and qualifications outlined in the job description.
Top candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview. A working interview may be necessary to determine whether a candidate possesses the appropriate skills for that position.
ARF receives a large volume of submissions. We regret that we are unable to contact each individual regarding the status of the process and cannot grant each applicant an interview. If you are not contacted by the hiring supervisor to schedule an interview for a posted position, your resume will be kept on file.
Physical Work
If you are applying for a job that works directly with animals, it may involve lifting and moving objects for short distances; bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, and pushing moderately heavy objects; and dealing with animal waste.
Pay Scale
ARF’s pay scale is competitive for the industry. In addition to salary, employees gain personal satisfaction from giving back to the community, making a difference in the lives of animals and people, working as a team to place dogs and cats in their forever homes, and implementing innovative humane education programs.
Benefits
ARF offers the following benefits to full time employees who regularly work a minimum of 30 hours per week: medical, dental, vision, disability, long-term disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, and flexible spending account for medical and child care expenses. Employees also receive pro-rated leave for vacation, illness, bereavement, and holidays; employee-paid supplemental insurance; employee-paid 403(b) retirement plan; and staff discounts.
Part time employees who work a minimum of 15 hours per week receive the following benefits: pro-rated paid holidays, employee-paid 403(b) plan, employee-paid supplemental insurance, and staff discounts.
