Give yourself the same unconditional love you get from your pets. On Thursday, March 8, 2012, join Dan Beaver, a pioneer in relationship and communication counseling, for the seminar Learn to Love Yourself: The First Step to a Successful Relationship, in ARF’s spacious Pavilion from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Reserve your space in this valuable seminar today.
How many of us have heard the phrase, “you have to love yourself before you can love someone else?” If you ask someone what it means to love yourself, all you get are one-word, usually vague answers. In describing what loving yourself means, people will use words such as self-respect, self-acceptance, or good self-esteem. All of these sound good, but still they are rather abstract. It all sounds like so much “psychobabble.”
In a very real, direct, down-to-earth manner, Dan will teach you the attitudes and behaviors that make self-love a reality. Dan will present:
- How to set better psychological boundaries in your life
- Ways to improve your self-esteem
- How to communicate with yourself like you would a lover
- Handling your anger in a way that empowers you to make real changes
- Learning to be assertive instead of passive or aggressive
