Classes for Pre-school - 5th grade
Reading with animals Ages 3-12
Reading with animals is a great way to improve your child’s reading skills. Join us in a relaxed, non-judgmental and encouraging environment with trained pet teams. The class will meet each week and at each session we will read animal related stories to the animals on ARF’s therapy team. Children will have the opportunity to listen and interact with the story or read aloud to the animals depending on their reading level.
During the summer Camp ARF replaces Reading with Animals. Weekly classes will resume in the fall, check back here in August for class schedules.
What is a Flex Card?
A $25 flex card allows your children to attend five classes of their choice. Each time they attend a class the card will be punched. If your child wishes to attend more than five classes, multiple Flex Cards can be purchased and any extra classes can be carried over to a following session.
The Flex card is only good for Kind Kids Club AND Reading with Animals. It may be used interchangeably between programs.
Kind Kids Club Grades 1-5 Students will learn about animal companionship, pet care and behavior while having fun. Each week will focus on a different pet related topic, and through hands on activities, crafts and games, children will learn the value and responsibility of being a pet guardian.
