Camp ARF 2008

Have FUN learning about animals!

Are you tired of your children coming home from camp covered in poison oak? Have your kids wearied of burning marshmallows around the campfire? If you or your child answered yes to either of these questions, then perhaps it’s time for something different and exciting! Why not enroll your child into Camp ARF?

Camp ARF is a wonderful summer experience for children of all ages who love animals and are interested in having fun, fun, fun, while learning more about their furry four-legged friends. Each camp day includes lessons, crafts, and at least two games related to the day’s theme, along with interaction with ARF’s Pet Hug Pack therapy animals. Camp ARF is perfect for any age group and it’s never too late for children to learn valuable humane education, beginning as young as Grades 1-3.

Camp ARF Grades 1-3 "A"
Campers learn basic responsibilities of pet ownership by fostering plush animals for a week as they explore veterinary care, behavior, training and safety, then adopting their foster animal, as well as participating in animal themed games, crafts and activities. Also a favorite is Friday's pet-less pet show where campers put their knowledge of positive reinforcement to use while "training" each other on ARF’s dog agility course. Always a popular event for children and adults alike, parents are welcome to attend and cheer on their children as they race through the obstacle course. This pet show makes for wonderful photo opportunities for family albums and holiday cards!
